3 Popular Hulu Movies and TV Shows to Binge-Watch (December 6-7): Family Guy and More
The “Huludays” have arrived on Hulu, and that means you’ll be seeing a lot of Christmas flicks on the streamer between now and December 25.
Understandably, a few Christmas movies have already placed highly among the top 15 movies and TV shows on Hulu.
For this week, the Watch With Us team is limiting the Christmas films to a single spot on our roundup of three popular Hulu movies and TV shows to binge-watch.
Our remaining picks include a parody of holiday movies and a sci-fi film that came out of nowhere.
‘Home Alone’ (1990)
Can you tell that the Home Alone movies are back on Hulu? The first two films have cracked Hulu’s top five among movies and TV shows, which suggests that people still love watching Macaulay Culkin playing Looney Tunes with a pair of inept robbers. Kevin McCallister (Culkin) got his Christmas wish when his family went to Paris and accidentally left him behind. Meanwhile, a pair of thieves named Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern) mistakenly believe that it will be easy to rob Kevin’s house. It’s their funeral.
This movie does pull the heartstrings with Kevin’s connection to his neighbor, Marley (Roberts Blossom), and the way Kevin’s mother, Kate (Catherine O’Hara), tries desperately to find a way back to her son. John Candy steals every scene he’s in while appearing as Kate’s temporary traveling companion, Gus Polinski. Candy brought a lot of heart to that cameo, and the movie wouldn’t have been as good without him.

‘Family Guy’ (1999 – 2002, 2005 – Present)
How did Family Guy break into Hulu’s most popular list this week? It’s probably because of the new Family Guy holiday special that’s exclusive to Hulu. The name of the special is Disney’s Hulu’s Family Guy’s Hallmark Channel’s Lifetime’s Familiar Holiday Movie, and it’s exactly what it sounds like.
In this alternate universe, Lois (Alex Borstein) is a rising star at a big city pie company before she finds herself stranded in a small town subtly called Townsville. That’s where Peter (Seth MacFarlane) doubles as the town mechanic and the owner of his own pie company. Lois and Peter’s whirlwind romance follows the example of hundreds of Hallmark movies before them. But their love may get derailed if he learns that Lois came to town with a hidden agenda. The remaining 445 episodes are also available to watch if you want to revisit Peter, Lois and the rest of their family under normal circumstances.

‘Osiris’ (2025)
Osiris is a low-budget sci-fi film that probably would have stayed under the radar if it hadn’t been picked up by Hulu. This isn’t a classic flick by any means, but it does have a pretty good cast for a B-movie, including Linda Hamilton, Brianna Hildebrand and LaMonica Garrett. Max Martini stars as Kelly, the leader of a U.S. Special Forces team that is kidnapped and taken aboard an alien ship.
Upon awakening on the ship, Kelly and his group meet a survivor, Ravi (Hildebrand), and her mother, Anya (Hamilton), both of whom have managed to survive on the ship for a long time. Getting off the ship proves to be a big challenge, especially after the team learns that they were only taken to be used as food by their alien captors.
