Hombale Films has officially announced its entry into the overseas distribution space, with Peddi becoming the banner’s first international distribution venture. The move marks a new business expansion for the production house, which has previously backed large-scale pan-Indian films including KGF, Kantara, and Salaar.

Starring Ram Charan in the lead role, Peddi is currently among the highly anticipated releases of 2026. The film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and is expected to feature a rural action-driven backdrop with a strong emphasis on character transformation and large-scale visuals. The music for the film has been composed by Academy Award-winning musician A. R. Rahman.

Over the last few years, Hombale Films has expanded its presence across multiple language markets through films that have achieved commercial success in domestic as well as international territories. With the acquisition of Peddi for overseas distribution, the banner is now looking to establish a more direct presence in global theatrical markets.

Trade circles have already begun discussing the implications of the move, particularly given Ram Charan’s growing international visibility following the global success of RRR. The collaboration between the actor and Hombale Films is expected to strengthen the film’s release prospects across key overseas territories including North America, the Middle East, Australia, and parts of Europe.

The makers have scheduled Peddi for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026. While plot details remain under wraps, promotional material released so far has highlighted Ram Charan in a rugged and physically intense avatar, contributing to online buzz surrounding the project.

The development also comes at a time when Hombale Films is actively expanding its slate of productions and presentations. In 2025, the banner backed projects including Kantara: Chapter 1 and presented Mahavatar Narsimha. Both films were included in the Academy Awards’ General Entry List for consideration across various categories.

Apart from Peddi, the production house also has several upcoming projects in development, including Salaar 2, KGF 3, and an untitled film featuring Hrithik Roshan.

With its latest move into international distribution, Hombale Films joins a growing list of Indian production banners looking to build stronger control over overseas theatrical releases amid increasing global demand for Indian cinema.
