The biopic of Hindutva ideologue V. D. Savarkar, titled “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,” exploring the life and ideologies of the revered figure, is being presented in both Hindi and Marathi, promising a wide audience appeal.

Headlining the cast is renowned actor Randeep Hooda, who steps into the pivotal role of Veer Savarkar, showcasing his multifaceted persona on the silver screen.

Notably, this project marks Hooda’s directorial debut, adding an extra layer of excitement to the film’s release. Joining him are talented co-stars Ankita Lokhande and Amit Sial, who are significant characters in Savarkar’s life journey.

2. Madgaon Express

Bollywood actor Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut, “Madgaon Express,” has arrived amid high anticipation. Initial reviews praise its simple yet hilariously packed storyline. Following the escapades of Dodo (Divyenndu) and his NRI friends on a budget trip to Goa, the film takes unexpected turns during their train journey. Encounters with drugs, guns, and quirky characters lead to a whirlwind of comedic situations, keeping audiences in stitches throughout. “Madgaon Express” promises a rollercoaster ride of laughter, offering a refreshing escape into absurdity and humour.

3. Arthur the King

“Arthur the King” (2024) delivers a touching tale of adventure and friendship, inspired by Mikael Lindnord’s real-life account. Follow an adventure racing team captain as he forms an unbreakable bond with a stray dog named Arthur. Together, they tackle a gruelling 435-mile race through the Dominican Republic, showcasing loyalty and courage. 

4. Rebel

This one is a Tamil political thriller directed by Nikesh RS. Mamitha Baiju takes on the female lead role in the film, supported by Venkitesh.vp, Shalu Rahim, Karunas, Adhithya Baskar, Kalloori Vinoth, and Subramaniya Siva.

The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar himself, with editing by Vetre Krishnan and cinematography by Arun Radhakrishnan. Set in a fictional college in Kerala, the story follows a Tamil student encountering bullying and oppression from a local political group. Delicately addressing the theme of harassment faced by Tamils in Kerala, the movie offers a compelling narrative.
