The South Indian film industry has produced some great actors and actresses who started their careers in regional films and then went to Bollywood. On the other hand, certain actresses couldn’t do big in Bollywood and have limited themselves to regional films only. One such actress is Trisha Krishnan.

Trisha Krishnan is a famous name in the South Indian film industry and has been a part of some of the biggest films in the industry. She has had an incredible career that has spanned more than two decades. She has worked with almost every leading actor in South cinema and enjoys a massive fan following. Despite such a successful career, the actress did just one Hindi film and decided not to feature in Bollywood anymore. The actress starred in the 2010 film Khatta Meetha opposite Akshay Kumar. The comedy-drama was directed by Priyadarshan and was the debut of the actress in Bollywood. Despite a lot of hype, the film failed to impress the audience and was a box office failure. After that, Trisha decided to end her short-lived career in Bollywood.

Trisha Krishnan was once asked about not working in Bollywood, to which she said, “Then, I was not ready to shift places to Bombay because that would have been leaving behind too many things and to start all over again and kickstart my career all over again.”

Trisha Krishnan debuted with a small supporting role in the Tamil romantic drama Jodi in 1999. Her first lead role was in the 2002 film Mounam Pesiyadhe. The actress is currently riding high on the recent success of her films. Her last film, Leo, opposite Thalapathy Vijay, became a huge hit and earned a lot of money at the box office.
