Thrilling advenure films are coming to the big screen at two North East venues.
With extreme skiing, mountain biking, climbing and more, the Banff Mountain Film Festival features two new collections of gripping action films from remote regions of the globe.
Audiences will witness extreme journeys, intrepid characters and stunning landscapes, from the comfort of a cinema seat.
“Get ready for an inspirational night of adventure from the wildest corners of the planet,” said tour director Nell Teasdale.
“With intrepid athletes, spectacular cinematography and a big dose of adrenaline, the Banff Mountain Film Festival stars the best new films from the world’s top adventure filmmakers. Plus, we guarantee you’ll be inspired to have an adventure of your own as well.”
There are two different film programmes to choose from and as well as white-knuckle films, each event features a free prize draw for outdoorsy goodies from the tour’s partners.
The film festival will be visiting the Princess Alexandra Auditorium, in Yarm, on February 24 and September 14 and Whitley Bay Playhouse, on February 22 and 23.
