The Forger family is hitting the big screen with Spy x Family Code: White. The first feature-length film from the popular anime series was a big success in Japan, and now it’s coming to North American screens. If the trailers are anything to go by, we’re in for plenty of awesome fight scenes from Loid and Yor and adorable moments with Anya and the family dog, Bond. Check out both trailers below:
Spy x Family Code: White is an original story that is based on Tatsuya Endo’s manga, so don’t worry too much if you’re not caught up on the events of the series. The film will follow the spy Loid, the assassin Yor, and their adopted telepath daughter Anya Forger as they head on their first family vacation, only for Anya to get mixed up with the military, threatening world peace and Loid’s Operation Strix. Of course, Yor and Loid still are keeping their double lives from each other, adding to the hilarity and intrigue.

The Spy x Family anime has been a huge success, so we should definitely expect the series to do some impressive box office numbers for its North American release. The Demon Slayer films have proven to be massive box office successes, so it’ll be interesting to see how Code: White stacks up comparatively. The film already took in $37 million at the Japanese box office, so its success should continue here.
Like the anime, Spy x Family Code: White is produced by Wit Studio and Cloverworks. The film is directed by Takashi Katagiri from a screenplay by Ichiro Okouchi. There will also be various ways to watch the film, with North American theaters screening the film in Japanese with English subtitles and dubbed in English. Both the Japanese and English voice actors reprise their roles for the film.

To take on this mission, known as Operation Strix, Twilight must create a fake family, with a child who attends the same prestigious university as Desmond’s son. He ends up adopting the adorable Anya, who is secretly a telepath, and marrying a woman named Yor, who agrees to the arrangement to help cover for her own undercover life as an assassin. While Anya’s telepathic abilities allow her to know her family’s secrets, Yor and Loid keep their spy and assassin lives secret from one another.
The Spy x Family anime aired its second 12-episode season in 2023, once again to critical acclaim. There is also a video game based on the series on the way titled Spy x Anya: Operation Memories. In the meantime, you can look forward to the Spy x Family Code: White coming to US theaters on April 19.
