A former Emmerdale fave is appearing alongside a Hollywood great in a new film.
As Emmerdale fans will recall, Katherine Dow Blyton played Harriet Finch in Emmerdale before being killed off as part of the soap’s 50th anniversary storyline – back in 2022. Harriet, who was involved in some major narrative points, died in the storm that hit the village.
Katherine first started playing the Emmerdale character back in 2013. She is currently working alongside former James Bond Pierce Brosnan filming upcoming feature Giant.

The 59-year-old is playing boxing trainer Brendan Ingle’s wife Alma in a new biopic of Sheffield sports hero Prince Naseem Hamed. Pierce Brosnan plays Ingle, and has also been seen on set in Yorkshire looking unrecognisable in a grey wig and vintage clothes.
As we’ve previously reported, Katherine was shocked by her Emmerdale exit. Speaking to the Soap From The Box podcast, Katherine has discussed her exit and how the landscape has changed in soapland.

“I was taken aback. I said ‘well you don’t know what to do with me anyway, do you?’. I tried to get out of the building, sat in my car and burst into tears because it was a shock.
“I had been ready to go for a while, to be fair, but to make the decision to leave a good job is a big decision and I’m glad they made it because I possibly wouldn’t have been brave enough.”
