The much-anticipated rap song Vatteppam by singer and rapper Dabzee, featured in the upcoming Malayalam movie Mandakini, has been released.
The song marks Dabzee’s next musical endeavour after the success of his hit song Illuminati, adding to the anticipation surrounding its reception.
The movie is produced by Sanju Unnithan under the banner of Spire Productions and directed and scripted by Vinod Leela. Mandakini stars Altaf and Anarkali Marikar in lead roles.
The film’s music, composed by Bibin Ashok, has already captured the attention of the viewers with lyrics penned by Vaisakh Sugunan.
The star-studded cast of Mandakini includes Althaf Salim, known for his comedic roles, and Anarkali Marikar, acclaimed for her performance in Sulaikha Manzil, alongside Ganapathy S., Phuduwal, Ashwati Srikanth, Priya Warrier, Ajay Vasudev, Jude Antony, director Lal Jose, and Jaffer Idukki.

Mohammed Fasil, professionally known as Dabzee, is an Indian rapper and songwriter from Kerala. He is known for his songs Illuminati from the film Aavesham, Manavaalan Thug from Thallumaala, and many more.
The movie trailer was released earlier last month. Mandakini will hit theatres on May 24, 2024, and Anarkali will play the role of Ambili in the film, while Altaf is playing the role of Aromal.
Altaf also expressed his excitement on Instagram with a poster for the film’s release on the social media platform. “Happily wrapped up the shoot of my First movie as the lead character with the amazing co-star Anarkali. Thanks to the wonderful team.”
