Impressive Teaser Trailers for Animated Adventure ‘The Worlds Divide’

“What are you waiting for, kid, get on!!” Cloudrise Pictures has unveiled two teaser trailers for an animated feature film titled The Worlds Divide, the impressive new creation from a Canadian animation filmmaker named Denver Jackson. It’s premiering soon at the 2024 Annecy Film Festival for animation in France this summer, in the Annecy Presents section. The Worlds Divide is an animated fantasy / action-adventure set in the world of Esluna. Young Natomi is suddenly transported from a war-torn world to a magical world abundant with vegetation. Guided by a stuffed bear, she must unravel the secrets of her father and escape the sinister Queen hunting her down. In order to get her father back, Natomi must unlock mysterious clues hidden by her father, evade the Royal Magistrate, and uncover the mysteries of her power with the ultimate consequence of deciding her father’s fate. This looks like a very good time! Featuring the voices of Breanna Pearl, Phillip Sacramento, Max Lindsey, Andrew Lander, & Chelsea Krause. The first footage in these teasers kicks ass – similar to Avatar: The Last Airbender and Nimona but still feels entirely unique. I can’t believe all this is created by Jackson! Starting in a dystopian, futuristic, war-ridden Earth. One day, war hits too close to home and Terric sends both the children through a portal to another world: Esluna. Natomi awakens in a lush grassy field with blue skies, a stark contrast to the world she left behind. Her awe of this new world is soon cut short as a tyrannical princess, Idena, attempts to capture & kill her. Now on the run, the layers of this new world are soon peeled back as Natomi discovers that her father is seen as a god here – and the people want him to bring balance & peace to Esluna. Natomi makes it her mission to get her father back to Esluna with the help of a ragtag group of new friends: a gruff cybernetic bear, Miito, a smart mouthed pilot, Roko, and a mysterious old criminal, Bataar (who wields the same psychokinetic abilities as Natomi). The Worlds Divide is written and directed and animated by Asian Canadian animation filmmaker Denver Jackson, a visual effects artist / animator, and director of the film Esluna: The Crown of Babylon + “Esluna: The First Monolith” series previously, plus many short films before this. Produced by Nicole Sorochan and Denver Jackson and Cloudrise Pictures. The film will premiere at the 2024 Annecy Film Festival in France in June. No other release dates are set yet – stay tuned.
