The teaser for ‘Moana 2’ has finally been released, and it promises an exciting adventure! The animated film brings back Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho, who reprise their roles as Maui and Moana. In the teaser, we see that Moana has grown into a young adult who understands the power and responsibility she holds. She sets out on a new adventure with Maui, their beloved chicken Heihei, and the pig Pua.

The teaser shows Moana diving into the deep waters to reconnect her people across the entire ocean. The official description of the movie says, “Moana and Maui reunite after three years for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”

David G. Derrick Jr. is both writing and directing this upcoming film. The movie will feature the original voice actors, including Auli’i Cravalho as Moana, Dwayne Johnson as Maui, and Alan Tudyk as Heihei.

A few days ago, Dwayne Johnson shared some photos on Instagram from the recording booth, announcing the completion of his voiceover for Maui. He wrote, “That’s an official wrap (for now) on MAUI’s portion of our upcoming MOANA 2. As you see I had the greatest motivation to help me push thru to keep me strong. The more down this windy road of life I go, the more I realize that my greatest and most comforting inspiration and joy is being loved by my daughters. I have a feeling this little one already knows that about her daddy. Thanks everyone for your amazing support.”

Interestingly, Dwayne Johnson will also be playing a live-action version of Maui in another Moana remake, which is set to begin filming later this year.
