The actress has begun shooting for the sequel of the film which also stars R Madhavan

Rakul Preet Singh is back to work. The actress shared a picture on her social media announcing the same a few days ago. Taking to her Insta story, she shared a photo in which she was seen getting ready for the shoot, holding a script in her hand. The caption read – “Back to my fav set !! DDPD 2 Begins”.

A few days before she landed on the sets, Rakul told us, “I am very excited to begin shooting for De De Pyaar De 2. It’s double dose of masala and double dose of dhamaka. I am excited to be Ayesha (her character) again. It’s great to be working with one of my most favourite teams which include people like Ajay Devgn Sir (her co-star), Luv Ranjan Sir (producer) and the director Anshul Sharma. It is like home coming for me. Because when I did De De Pyaar De 2 it kick started my journey in Hindi movies. After working in Telugu films this Hindi film gave me that love and so the Part 2 has got me very excited.”

Before she began shooting, Rakul went cycling with Bombay Times celebrating World Bicycle Day. About her love for cycling, she had said, “I stayed in Deolali, Jalandhar and Firozpur cantonments. My parents made sure that my brother and I used cycles to move around than taking car rides. So, from going to school, classes or the swimming sessions we used cycles, which have been an integral part of my growing up years.”

She also spoke about cycling with her husband Jackky Bhagnani saying, “Jackky and I love to cycle around in London, especially at Hyde Park. And I never ride a pillion! Do I look like someone who would ride a pillion? Phir woh cycle ho, bike ho ya car… bass mujhe hi chalani hai. It’s so much fun to cycle around in Amsterdam and London. They have cycle stations so you pick up cycles from anywhere and drop them anywhere. It’s so convenient. And the weather there permits you to ride too.”
