Wyoming’s history is fantastic, and I’m not sure why Hollywood hasn’t made a movie all about the Cowboy State. There’s a drama with the Johnson County War, rags-to-riches stories, falling in love with a cowboy and riding off into the sunset, plenty of National Lampoon Vacation opportunities, rodeo champions, and so on.
If it was decided to make a Wyoming movie, which genre would it be? Action, adventure, sports, drama, love, kids, or western? Honestly, it could be any one of those.
If you’re going to have a movie, you must have a theme song. The song plays when the cowboy rides across the plains and off into the mountains at sunset during a blizzard with a herd of elk running alongside.
Many great songs could be THE song for the Wyoming movie. Let’s check out some of the options.
Chris LeDoux – Western Skies
Skip Ewing – Wyoming
Kansas – Dust In The Wind
Chancey Wiliams – The World Needs More Cowboys
Ian Munsick – Mountain Time
George Thorogood and the Destroyers – Bad To The Bone
Chis LeDoux – Song Of Wyoming
Chancey Williams – Land Of The Buffalo
Ian Munsick – Indian Paintbrush
The list is long, and there are many choices. If you have one to add to the list, let me know shoot me an email and I’ll add it.
