Superstar Salman Khan is known to have an impudent tone and direct opinion. In a throwback clip that has resurfaced on Reddit, he humorously told Chiranjeevi that Bollywood films are not accepted in the South, leaving Chiranjeevi in a pool. The clip has caused quite a stir on the microblogging site.
In the now-viral clip, Salman Khan says, “Chiru Gaaru, your films have been accepted here. Our films are not being accepted there.” The clip then cuts off as Chiranjeevi begins to respond.

Redditors flocked to the comments section to share their opinions. One person wrote, “This is an inaccurate statement. The regional dubbing of Hindi movies does bad business in the South. However, the Hindi versions of tons of Hindi movies do great business in the South.” Another comment read, “As if Bollywood films are being accepted in North.” One person wrote, “It’s an incorrect statement that their films do good business here all the time. South films in North India are a hit-and-miss. It might be a disaster or a flop. Rarely will it be hit. Even the hit ones are usually Pan India films.” Another added, “Shah Rukh movies are very well accepted down South. People in Kerala especially are extremely fond of him and his meaty roles.”

Arshad Warsi’s Social Media Flooded with Hate Over Prabhas Comment

Interestingly, Salman’s video has resurfaced amid recent comments by Arshad Warsi about Prabhas, which have attracted significant attention. For those unaware, Arshad Warsi recently remarked that Prabhas looked like a ‘joker’ in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. When asked to name a recent film he didn’t like, the ‘Golmaal’ star mentioned ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Arshad praised Amitabh Bachchan’s performance as Ashwatthama in the Nag Ashwin directorial, but was not impressed by Prabhas’ appearance. He suggested that Prabhas should have been made to look like Mel Gibson. Although Arshad’s comment was about Prabhas’ role in the film, many perceived it as an attack on the actor and defended Prabhas by criticising Arshad.
