Wasatch Mountain Film Festival celebrating 10th year of adventure films

The Wasatch Mountain Film Festival is gearing up to welcome adventure fans with films from all around the world.

Multiple screening blocks will take place from September 19-22 at Westminster University.

There will be 49 films from local and international filmmakers from all around the world. Impacting stories are told through the eyes of explorers, authors, photographers, and filmmakers.

An anticipated film, “Between Earth & Sky,” will show an Oscar Shortlisted film. The filmtells the story of renowned ecologist Nalini Nadkarni as she studies what grows back after a disturbance in the rainforest canopy.

Another highlight, “Champions of the Golden Valley,” premiered in June at the Tribeca Film Festival. It shares stories about the Afghan ski racing community.

The festival will also host workshops from accomplished filmmakers and industry professionals. An artisan market will also be set up as a base for families and festivalgoers.

The festival relies entirely on volunteers. Organizers say they are always looking for people to help out in various roles during and outside of the festival.
