Say what you want about Florence Pugh, but the woman knows how to create headlines regarding her upcoming movies. She was part of that ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ drama with Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde. She had that nude scene in Oppenheimer that had countries across the globe up in arms. Josh Brolin wrote her those weird poems after the Dune movies. For better or worse, she simply cannot have a normal lead-up to a movie. Maybe it’s by design, maybe it’s destiny. Well, that trend has continued with her upcoming romance movie with Andrew Garfield called “We Live in Time.”

When I grew up I assumed two things with movies 1) if you die in a movie, you made a sacrifice for the film and actually died in real life. I was certain the train worker in Volcano actually was incinerated by lava.

2) I was positive that people actually had sex in the movies. Porn is a thing, so why would that stop with movies? I’ll always believe Halle Berry and Billy Bob Thornton actually banged in Monster’s Ball. I don’t see how it could be faked.

Now we’re hearing about this Garfield-Pugh scene in their upcoming movie. They were so into their sex scene that they never heard cut and kept going much longer than they should. The camera man dropped his camera and faced the wall because he felt so awkward. Thoughts and prayers to the camera man who had to endure such a traumatic moment.

(Yahoo) “We do the first take of this very intimate, passionate sex scene. And it’s a closed set, which means it’s only me and Florence in a room together and the camera operator, who is our DP, a very lovely man called Stewart,” Garfield said during the conversation, according to footage posted on social media. “The scene becomes passionate and we choreographed it and we get into it, as it were, and we go a little bit further than we were meant to just because we never heard ‘cut’ and it’s feeling safe and we’re like, ‘OK, we’ll go to the next thing and the next thing, we’ll let this progress.’”

After a while, Garfield said he and Pugh were “telepathically saying to each other, ‘This definitely feels like a longer take.’” Garfield then got up in front of the audience to reenact what the two saw once they stopped the scene.

“I look up, and in the corner is Stewart and our boom operator,” Garfield said to laughter from the crowd. “Stewart has the camera by his side and he’s turned into the wall.”

This story would have been way more fun if either of them were in a legit relationship. That’s not the case as both are single/not seriously dating it appears. I’m sure the prudes of the world are going to say the camera man and the intimacy coordinators should be held accountable for not screaming “cut” multiple times, but don’t you want your movie to seem realistic? If you’ve got two people actually into each other for a sex scene isn’t that ideal? Also, can you blame Andrew Garfield?

Just two good looking british people have a little fake sex. Surely nothing else. If you’re currently hooking up with one of them I’m sure they’ll text you back soon.

Will I got see this movie in theaters? No shot. Absolutely none. When it comes to streaming will I now pop it on? Most definitely. Good promotion!
