Vedang Raina takes inspiration from Ranbir Kapoor for Jigra song

Actor Vedang Raina is receiving praise for his recently released film, Jigra. The actor also lent his voice to two tracks in the film, the title track and the rendition of Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka. In a recent interview, he opened up about singing in the film and said that he took inspiration from his co-star Alia Bhatt’s husband, Ranbir Kapoor to act out the track. While he called Kapoor a ‘bad singer’ but admitted that his lip sync’ inspired him.

Vedang said, “I have always been his (Ranbir’s) biggest fan and he does lip-syncing brilliantly. I have always wanted to see the BTS of Rockstar to see if he could actually sing. I thought he must be a singer but it’s nothing like this. It was negative. His real-life singing is really bad. It goes on to show how good he is at acting.”

The Archies actor further added, “I tried to recreate his lip-synch. Obviously, in the film, it was an exaggerated version, but I wanted to try matching his pitch.”

Talking of Jigra, it is Vasan Bala’s latest directorial starring Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina and Manoj Pahwa in lead roles. It follows the story of a young, troubled woman who is on a mission to rescue his brother from a foreign jail.
