Malayali actor Jayasurya shared a heartwarming post regarding the completion of the shooting of his upcoming movie Kathanar, which is about to release this December. This upcoming Indian Malayalam-language fantasy thriller film is directed and edited by Rojin Thomas and written by R Ramanand. The shooting of the film was completed after 3 years of hard work. The movie was produced by Gokulam Gopalan under Sree Gokulam Movies. In the social media post, Jayasurya mentioned that they have spent countless rare moments day and night with the group of talented artists and technical crew, who dedicated themselves to this single film for almost three years. The actor’s mind is filled with immense gratitude towards those talented artists. First, he thanked the producer of the film, who was resolute that financial constraints should never be an obstacle in bringing Kathanar to its full glory. He also thanked the Executive producer, Krishnamoorthy, who also tirelessly worked to make this a reality.
Jayasurya also unveiled while writing that it was Ramanand who shared the idea of making Kathanar into a movie and spent countless days and nights in research to make this film. He added that they lived together like a family with each other while making this cinematic spectacle.
Lastly, Jayasurya thanked all the cast and crew members and shared his gratitude towards the director and the producer for trusting them with their roles. The actor also wished to hold onto this debt of gratitude in his heart forever.
The movie stars Anushka Shetty, Jayasurya, Prabhu Deva, Vineeth, Sanoop Santhosh, Jiyad Irani, Kulpreet Yadav, and Kiran Aravindakshan. The film is based on the tale of the 9th-century Christian priest Kadamattathu Kathanar and was initially planned to be produced by Vijay Babu of Friday Film House. In March 2020, it was announced that the project had been taken over by Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movies.
