Happy Valley star James Norton and Sally Wainwright are reuniting for a new movie.
During a new interview with Deadline, Norton opened up about his film and TV production company Rabbit Track Pictures – which he runs with Kitty Kaletsky – and its upcoming projects with an array of in-demand writers and directors.
“We’ve just brought Jack Thorne onto a project, and it’s really exciting. We have the Sally Wainwright project, which is in the works. We’re stepping up,” he said.

No further details about the upcoming film were revealed, but we do know that it will mark Wainwright’s feature film debut.
The writer, producer and director has worked on a number of television shows over the years, including Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Last Tango in Halifax, Gentleman Jack, Renegade Nell and, of course, Happy Valley.
Her next drama, Riot Women, is currently filming in the UK and will premiere on the BBC next year.
The upcoming series follows the formation of a female punk-rock band, while also delving into their lives as they juggle the demands of work, children, partners, dating and relationships.

Meanwhile, Norton’s upcoming Netflix film Joy will arrive on the streaming platform next month.
Joy, which also stars Bill Nighy and Thomasin McKenzie, tells the story of the first person born through in vitro fertilisation (IVF).
The actor also recently wrapped filming on the BBC’s new period drama King and Conqueror, and has been cast in Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight‘s new Netflix drama House of Guinness.
