Olivia Rodrigo has just concluded her GUTS World Tour.
While that may mean it’s almost the end of an era for the Filipina-American pop star, the GUTS World Tour will forever live on with its forthcoming concert film of the same name, which is scheduled for release on Netflix this October 29, 2024 (Tuesday).
Rodrigo just shared the first official look at the highly anticipated film via her official social media channels, with the one-minute trailer showcasing both the behind-the-scenes workings and onstage magic that attendees worldwide have experienced from the show. With certain moments from the concert given a special highlight in the teaser, it’s inevitable that Livies all around the world are going to have a blast reliving their memories from the show. Just recently, Rodrigo performed her biggest show ever at the Philippine Arena earlier this October — with the sold-out show marking a special moment for her already illustrious career. As the only ‘Silver Star Show’ in the GUTS World Tour, all tickets were set at a standard price of PHP 1,500 each, with all net ticket proceeds set to benefit her ‘Fund 4 Good’ campaign, which aims to promote a fair and just future for women, girls, and individuals globally who are seeking reproductive healthcare freedom.
In Billboard Philippines‘ glowing review, Rodrigo’s show at the Philippine Arena was described as a performance that “has solidified her status as one of the industry’s brightest acts of this generation.” Adding further, her stage presence was described as “an immense and natural display of superstardom, and we can only hope that we’ll get to see a lot more of this upon her return to the Philippines in the near future.”
Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour kicked off earlier this February 23, 2024 in Palm Springs, California, and concluded on October 22, 2024 in Sydney, Australia. The world tour comes in support of her sophomore album of the same name, which immediately charted at the top of the Billboard 200 upon release and was recognized as one of the most critically and commercially successful studio albums of 2023.
