Latin American Feature ‘Dalia And The Red Book’ Unveils Trailer

Dalia and the Red Book (Dalia y el libro rojo), a mixed-media feature film that we first profiled in 2017, has now been completed and premiered earlier this month at the Sitges film festival.

Written and directed by Argentinian filmmaker David Bisbano (A Mouse Tale), Dalia tells the story of a girl who becomes entrapped in her deceased father’s unfinished novel and must finish the book, as she comes face to face with the book’s characters who have taken over the plot and are trying to become central characters. The film, which the producers describe as “The NeverEnding Story meets Corpse Bride and ParaNorman,” is made with a mix of techniques that include stop motion, cg, and hand-drawn animation.
