Between the big screen and OTT releases, the calendar has films like Kareena Kapoor Khan’s The Buckingham Murders. After a worldwide premiere at international film festivals, it’s finally hitting Indian screens this month. Meanwhile, the political drama Emergency is one of the most anticipated theatrical releases. On OTT, Sector 36 starring Vikrant Massey, Ipshita Chkraborthy and more is set to enthral viewers.

Emergency, directed and co-produced by Kangana Ranaut is a political drama based on true events. The film chronicles the state of Emergency declared between 1975 and 1977 in India while Indira Gandhi served as Prime Minister. Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, and the late Satish Kaushik play pivotal roles.

Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders is perhaps one of the most exciting releases of the month. The film will see Kareena Kapoor Khan don her detective hat as a grieving cop who after losing her child is tasked with investigating the case of a missing child. The film was released at the BFI London Film Festival and at MAMI before its theatrical run.
