Mark Wahlberg sports a very different look in his new movie Flight Risk.

The 53-year-old’s lush brown hair was missing as his character is a pilot who has a partially bald head.

And it wasn’t a bald cap, either. The Invincible star really committed to his character and shaved his head.

‘There was no bald cap. I shaved the middle and left the horseshoe around the sides. We just shaved it,’ he told People

‘They would shave the top as close to the scalp as possible every day, obviously, because we didn’t have any stubble or anything. So I just hid it with a hat.’

‘But the most priceless thing was seeing my wife’s face when I took my hat off after getting the hair cut for work that day,’ he added.

Over the years, Wahlberg has expressed that is he ‘very passionate’ about being ‘able to provide’ for his ‘family in a way that’ he ‘never dreamt of.’

‘If my kids want to go to college, they’re going to be able to do all those things,’ he explained to Men’s Health magazine in 2015.

In 2023 Wahlberg and Durham moved with their kids to Las Vegas to give them a ‘a chance to thrive.’

‘It just has the best of both worlds. I know a lot of people, when they think Las Vegas, they think the Strip,’ the filmmaker told Fox News Digital at the time.

‘But just about 15, 20 minutes away, there’s a whole lot of other amazing areas that are all about family and community,’ he explained.

The devoted dad stressed that the relocation was ‘really about giving the kids an opportunity to pursue their goals and dreams.

‘My daughter’s an equestrian,’ he noted. ‘My son’s a golfer. My oldest daughter, now she’s off to college. My son’s a junior.’

Shifting to his business endeavors, he added, ‘There’s lots of opportunity here as well for me. We’re trying to create a studio. We’re trying to build the shoe factory. We want to create lots of jobs here.

It turns out that the move was a good idea because in April 2023, Wahlberg said that his four children ‘love Vegas.’

He added: ‘Everybody is thriving there, it’s been great.’

Flight Risk opened in theaters this weekend.

The Mel Gibson-directed thriller brought in $4.4 million on opening night, to grab the #1 box office position for Friday, January 24.

The film faces stiff competition for an audience with the NFL conference championships on Sunday.

Critics have also been savage in their reviews of the film and preview audiences rated it a C.
