Pushpa 2: The Rule, released in the first week of December 2024, had a blockbuster theatrical run. After a long wait, the Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer is all set to release on Netflix. 1. ‘Pushpa 2: the Rule’ (January 30, Netflix)

If you did not watch the sequel to the 2021 Allu Arjun-starrerPushpa: The Rise, you can watch it now on the OTT giant, Netflix. After a thunderous theatrical performance, Pushpa 2: The Ruleis all set to be released on OTT by the end of January. Allu Arjun, Fahad Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna have reprised their roles from the first part.

Directed by Sukumar, the two-part action franchise follows Pushpa Raj, a lowly porter who has risen to the ranks of sandalwood smuggler. In the second part, Pushpa takes on a vengeful nemesis while doing everything he can to expand his smuggling empire.

2. ‘Pothugadda’ (January 30, ETV Win)

Directed by Raksha Veeran, Pothugadda is a gripping Telugu movie starring Shatru, Prasanth Karthi, Prudhvi Dandamudi, Vismaya Sri and Aadukalam Naren. It follows a couple whose vacation turns into a nightmare after their bus is hijacked, dragging them into a dangerous political scrimmage.

3. ‘UI’ (January 30, ZEE5)

Upendra stars and has directed UI, the film is set in a futuristic world that deals with societal collapse and political tension and unrest. The thought-provoking theme combined with gripping action sequences and cutting-edge visuals will keep you hooked till the end. The movie also stars Reeshma Nanaiah and Murali Sharma in key roles.

4. ‘Identity’ (January 31, ZEE5)

This Malayalam murder mystery follows a cop and a sketch artist who are tailing a killer who knows how to hide in plain sight. The movie features Tovino Thomas, Trisha Krishnan, and Sanjay Dutt. The story unfolds through accounts of various eye witnesses that add more mystery and suspense to the drama.

5. ‘Max’ (January 31, ZEE5)

This high-octane Kannada action movie stars Sudeepa, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Sunil. Max is one of the highly-anticipated South Indian films to hit OTT this week. The stunning cinematography by Shekar Chandra makes this movie a thrilling visual experience. It follows Inspector Arjun Mahakshay, law and order inspector who reports to duty at a new police station after a two-months suspension only to face an unexpected situation.
