A few years ago, there were reports that Naam Shabana director Shivam Nair is planning a movie based on the life of Uzma Ahmed who was brought back to India from Pakistan. The reports stated that Saif Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor will be seen playing the lead role. However, the movie is now made with John Abraham and Sadia Khateeb, and it is all set to release on March 7, 2025.

The trailer of the film has been released and it is quite good. You might have read about Uzma in newspapers and heard about her in news. But now, with The Diplomat you will get to watch her story on the big screens.

Uzma was an Indian girl and she fell in love with a Pakistani taxi driver named Tahir. When she reached Khyber Pakhtunkhwa she came to know that she was already married and had four kids. However, she was forced to get married to him, but she escaped and was brought back to India.

Well, surely Uzma’s story looks very interesting, and after watching the trailer of The Diplomat, you will be keen to know more about her. John Abraham plays an officer working in Indian ambassy in Islamabad who had handled the case of Uzma.

John Abraham looks the part, and we can surely expect a good performance from him. There are also some light-hearted scenes in the trailer, and John has done them well. But, the show stealer is Sadia Khateeb. The actress, who was earlier seen in movies like Shikara and Raksha Bandhan, surely grabs our attention.

The Diplomat also features some other talented actors like Sharib Hashmi, Revathy, and Kumud Mishra, and we are looking forward to their performances in the movie.
