Did You Know ‘Tu Hi Aashiqui Hai’ Song In Kartik Aaryan-Sreeleela Movie Is Originally A Pakistani Track?

A few days ago, T-Series announced their new film with Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela in the lead roles. It is a musical-romantic film, and will be directed by Anurag Basu. Earlier, there were reports that the movie is titled Aashiqui 3, and Triptii Dimri will be seen opposite Kartik in the movie. But, finally, the official announcement happened with Kartik and Sreeleela, and the makers have not yet revealed the title.

In the first look promo that has been released, Kartik is seen singing a song, ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai, Tu Meri Har Khushi Hai, Tu Hi Pyaar Tu Hi Chahat, Tu Hi Aashiqui Hai…’ Now, this takes us back to the 1990 release Aashiqui which starred Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal in the lead roles.

So, this song was used in the Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial 35 years ago, and now, it looks like the makers of Kartik-Sreeleela’s film will be recreating it. However, did you know that the song is original from a Pakistani movie?

Yes, you read it right! Tu Meri Zindagi Hai is from a Pakistan movie titled Mohabbat Mar Nahin Sakti which was released in 1977. The song was originally composed by Nashad and sung by legendary Pakistani singer Noor Jehan.

In Aashiqui, the makers recreated the song, and changed a word in the hook phrase. The original song was, ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai, Tu Meri Har Khushi Hai, Tu Hi Pyaar Tu Hi Chahat, Tu Hi Bandagi Hai…’

So, now this song will be recreated for the second time in Anurag Basu’s movie. When we heard it for the first time in 1990, it had touched the rights chords of our hearts. Now, let’s see if this new recreated version will impress us or not.
