John Hartnett‘s new thriller Fight or Flight has been released to watch at home from today.

The film, which Digital Spy described as like John Wick ”on a plane”, focuses on a mercenary tracking down a target on the plane, only to become their protector when surrounded by people trying to kill them.

The movie is now available to watch on Sky Cinema as of today, and has also been added for NOW members who have a Sky Cinema membership.

Fight or Flight comes from director James Madigan, and boasts an impressive wider cast including Bridgerton‘s Charithra Chandran, Shadow and Bone‘s Julian Kostov, Battlestar Galactica‘s Katee Sackhoff and John Wick: Chapter 4‘s Marko Zaror.

In DS‘s four-star review, we suggested that the film “certainly shares action DNA with the likes of John Wick and The Raid“, though “this is an altogether sillier affair”.

“Crucially, the cast and crew know this and pitch it accordingly so even if there are some unintentionally funny moments, it’s largely ridiculous in the right (and best) way,” we added.

Fight or Flight is just an extremely fun, often ridiculously bloody, ride that action fans will relish.”

The film comes amid a bit of a career surge for Hartnett, having starred in 2023’s Oscar-winning Oppenheimer and last year’s thriller Trap, as well as the sixth season of Black Mirror.

In Trap, which drew a 57% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, he plays a man who attends a concert with his daughter, only to realise it’s all a set-up to catch a serial killer who may be him.

Fight or Flight is available to watch now in the UK on Sky Cinema and NOW with Sky Cinema membership.
