Varun Dhawan Welcomes Shanaya Kapoor ‘To The Movies’
Varun Dhawan has welcomed debutante Shanaya Kapoor as she gears up for her big-screen debut with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. Taking to social media, Varun not only cheered for the young actress but also gave a big thumbs-up to the recently released trailer of the film. The trailer was released recently.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Varun shared the trailer and wrote, “Shanaya Kapoor welcomes to the movies. This looks so heartwarming and who better to debut with then @vikrantmassey. This looks so amazing guys.” Earlier Karan Johar also praised the trailer and said, “A heartfelt love story with the promise of deep and solid emotion. Shanaya, you’re so gorgeously sincere and make every frame come alive. Vikrant, you are so amazing and have immersed yourself into the part! Badhai ho, Sandy! Can’t wait to watch.”

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is directed by Santosh Singh and is based on Ruskin Bond’s story — The Eyes Have It. Produced by Zee Studios, Mini Films and Open Window Films, the film is scheduled for release on July 11. The film marks Shanaya Kapoor’s long-awaited Bollywood debut. After Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, Shanaya Kapoor will be seen in director Bejoy Nambiar’s survival thriller, Tu Yaa Main, where she will star alongside Adarsh Gourav.
In a recent chat with us, Shanaya called facing the camera a “surreal” experience. She said, “Facing the camera is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It’s such a surreal feeling. Like, after the cut, you go back and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, that’s going to last forever’. So, you cannot take this lightly. You owe it to the camera and the audience. You owe it to the actor you’re working with, the crew that is there waiting for you to get that shot, and, of course, also owe it to yourself. That’s the least amount that I can do to have something so big that it’s everlasting. I’m just happy with how things have happened.”
Varun Dhawan is currently shooting Border 2 with Sunny Deol, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh. The film has been grabbing attention for a long time. Varun has many films lined up in his kitty.
