Actor Vinay Pathak’s latest web series, Special Ops 2, is making waves, with people saying they can’t wait to watch the third season. Apart from this series, Vinay has also been a part of some popular projects this year like Gram Chitishalay and Phule.

The actor has now spoken against those who cause uproar without having seen Phule, which starred Pratik Gandhi and Patralekhaa in prominent roles.

In conversation with Hindustan Times, Vinay Pathak said, “I find politicising a film morbid. If you don’t like it, you don’t go. (But) the majority of the people who are criticising a film haven’t seen it. I can guarantee you that. It is one of the bad practices of people.” He added, “A very small film (Phule) got blown out of proportion for no reason. But when it released, people loved it. Good content, good storytelling, and good cinema stay.”

Phule highlighted the extraordinary achievements of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule, two visionaries who campaigned for the rights of women and the disadvantaged in nineteenth-century India. His efforts to provide education to all, notably women and the impoverished, have made him a symbol of social reform in Indian history. Pratik Gandhi plays Jyotirao Phule, and Patralekhaa depicts Savitribai Phule.

Speaking about online trolls, the actor said that it was not something new. He said that people who don’t like your work have always found a method to make you aware of it, and he takes everything with a pinch of salt.

Vinay Pathak’s latest show, Special Ops 2, investigates the hazards of cyberterrorism, the series hopes to attract viewers through its realistic portrayal of digital security threats. The thematic transition from traditional espionage to cyber warfare emphasises the changing nature of global security threats, providing viewers with a new perspective on these topics. The show features an ensemble cast, including Kay Kay Menon, Karan Tacker and Dilip Tahil, among others. It has been filmed at various international locations such as Budapest, Turkey, and Georgia.
