Amazon MGM Studios has finally announced The Accountant 2 4K and Blu-ray release date for the next installment to Ben Affleck‘s 2016 action thriller movie. More than two months since its theatrical release, the sequel is still Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a rating of 76%, based on 207 reviews.

“In the film, Christian Wolff has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to ‘find the accountant,’ Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax, to help,” reads the official synopsis. “In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina, they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.”

When is The Accountant 2 4K and Blu-ray release date?

The Accountant 2 will officially be available for purchase on 4K UHD and Blu-ray starting on August 12, 2025. During its theatrical run, the movie earned a worldwide gross of over $103 million at the box office against a reported budget of around $80 million.

The R-rated sequel was directed by Gavin O’Connor from a screenplay written by Bill Dubuque. It has a total runtime of 125 minutes, or 2 hours and 5 minutes. Daredevil: Born Again star Jon Bernthal is also leading the cast as Brax, the brother of Affleck’s character. The cast also includes Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, and J.K. Simmons. It was produced by Affleck, Lynette Howell Taylor, and Mark Williams.
