Trap House, an upcoming action movie featuring Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista, now has a release date. The feature has been directed by Michael Dowse, a Canadian filmmaker known for helming the Fubar movies and What If. Gary Scott Thompson and Tom O’Connor penned the screenplay.

The newly-launched film distribution company Aura Entertainment will release Trap House in U.S. theaters on November 14, 2025, as per Deadline. Besides Bautista, the cast includes Tony Dalton, Kate Del Castillo, Jack Champion, Zaire Adams, Sophia Lillis, Whitney Peak, and Bobby Cannavale.
In a statement, Bautista called the movie “a true labor of love.” He said, “I am excited to share this film with audiences – it has been a true labor of love, and my co-stars will blow you away. We had such a great time making it, and I can’t wait for families to see it in theaters!”
The plot of Trap House revolves around a team of DEA agents whose teenage children, described as “rebellious,” end up using the same tactics their parents rely on to rob a dangerous drug organization.
Trap House reportedly went into production in early April 2024. Part of the principal photography took place in various places in and near Albuquerque, New Mexico. The movie will be Aura’s first release. The U.S.-based film distribution company is focused on developing and distributing commercially oriented features.
Aura CEO Marc Goldberg underscored how Trap House met the requirements for the type of productions they wanted to support. “Trap House embodies everything we stand for: bold, smart, and wildly entertaining,” Goldberg explained. “With the firepower of Dave Bautista and the pedigree of Scott Free, this film kicks off our slate with muscle and style,” he added.
Goldberg and Sarah Gabriel produced the movie for Signature Pictures, alongside Todd Lundbolm (828 Productions), Michael Pruss and Rebecca Feuer (Scott Free Productions), and Christian Mercuri (Capstone Studios). Bautista is also producing Trap House alongside Jonathan Meisner through Dogbone Entertainment. The movie will come out on November 14, 2025.
