Bandai Namco Entertainment and A24 have announced their collaboration with writer and director Alex Garland to create a live-action film adaptation of FromSoftware’s Elden Ring.
The project will be led by Garland (Ex Machina, Civil War, Warfare) as writer and director, and will be produced by Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich from DNA, George R. R. Martin and Vince Gerardis.
Elden Ring is an award-winning action RPG that has sold more than 28 million copies worldwide. Set in an authentic dark fantasy world, you will be challenged to explore treacherous dungeons and face epic boss battles.
The game will come to Nintendo Switch later this year in the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, which will include the Shadow of the Erdtree downloadable content along with new classes, weapons, armor and skills.
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025.
