Amazon MGM Studios has shared the title logo for its highly anticipated Masters of the Universe movie based on Mattel’s iconic toy franchise. The logo was revealed through a title treatment video featuring the movie’s title in different languages. The live-action adaptation will be arriving in theaters on June 5, 2026.
“The movie follows 10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia,” reads the official synopsis. “After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!”
Who is in the new Masters of the Universe movie?
Masters of the Universe will be led by Nicholas Galitzine (Red, White & Royal Blue, Bottoms) as he takes on the role of He-Man. Joining him are Camila Mendes as Teela, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm/Fisto, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Goat Man, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, and more.
The movie is directed by Travis Knight from a screenplay written by Chris Butler, which is based on the initial draft by David Callaham and Aaron and Adam Nee. It is a production by Escape Artists and Mattel Films, with Robbie Brenner, Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, and Steve Tisch as producers. Filming on the live-action adaptation has officially wrapped last June.
