Netflix has finally released The Old Guard 2 after a long five-year wait for fans since the original movie landed.
The sequel to one of Netflix’s best original action movies brings back Charlize Theron as Andy, leader of a team of immortal warriors whose mission is to protect the world.
As we saw in The Old Guard though, Andy is no longer immortal and with former teammate Qunyh (Veronica Ngô) out for revenge, a mysterious threat emerges which could jeopardise everything for Andy and her team.
If you want to see how it all plays out, The Old Guard 2 is available to watch right now on Netflix for all subscribers, having been added to the streaming service today.
You can also watch the first movie on Netflix if you need to refresh your memory and fancy a double-bill of action.

Ahead of its release, Theron teased that since the action sequences in the first movie were “really celebrated”, they looked to “raise that bar” in the “exhilarating” sequel.
“There’s something for everyone in this movie: Fans who loved the first film, fans who love the original graphic novels – and brand-new fans who are looking for insane action, grounded and relatable characters, gorgeous locations, and a global cast of superstars,” she told TUDUM.
The Old Guard 2 also brings back KiKi Layne, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Matthias Schoenaerts and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Nile, Joe, Nicky, Booker and James, respectively, from the first movie.
Henry Golding and Uma Thurman are the big new names for the sequel, with Golding playing Tuah, an old friend of Andy’s, and Thurman playing Discord, the first of the Immortals.

The sequel filmed from June to September 2022, with Theron putting the long wait for it to arrive on Netflix down to “a changeover” at the company.
“We got kind of stuck in that and our post-production shut down, I think, five weeks into it,” she explained. “They were going through a lot of changes, and I totally understand it. We finally picked it back up and I’m really excited about it.”
The Old Guard 2 is available to watch now on Netflix.
