Prithviraj also acknowledged the shortcomings of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) in handling such matters. He admitted that there have been lapses in the past where strong action should have been taken against the accused individuals. Reflecting on the findings of the Hema Committee report, he expressed that he was not surprised, as he was among the first people to appear before the committee. He is now keenly waiting to see the committee’s next steps.

The actor shed light on the existence of a “power group” within the industry, a topic that has been widely discussed after the unveiling of the Hema Commission report. He remarked, “Just because I haven’t been affected by the power group doesn’t mean it’s not there. If such a group exists, I believe it shouldn’t be allowed to continue.” Prithviraj stressed the importance of having a female representative in key positions within industry organizations, including AMMA, suggesting that a woman should hold the post of President or General Secretary. Prithviraj also said that even before Parvathy Thiruvothu, it was him who faced such bans for voicing his stern opinions.
He concluded by highlighting his responsibility to ensure safety across the entire industry, not just on his film sets. “My responsibility doesn’t end with just ensuring that my movie shoot location is safe; it’s important that the entire industry is safe for everyone,” Prithviraj stated. The actor further said that the Malayalam film industry will be remembered for the first one to have such a clean up process.
