A new blood-soaked thriller starring Tom Hardy is about to be released on Netflix

Havoc official Netflix trailer starring Tom Hardy
Netflix subscribers are going wild for the latest trailer for Tom Hardy’s new film, releasing just weeks after his new series MobLand smashed records for Paramount+.
The Mad Max: Fury Road star is unleashing his action chops yet again in a new thriller directed by Gareth Evans, the filmmaker behind the critically acclaimed The Raid series.
Coming to the streaming service on Friday, 25th April, Havoc is guaranteed to pump you full of adrenaline and leave you awestruck by some of the most exhilarating set pieces hitting screens this year.
Also starring Jessie Mei Li, Timothy Olyphant and Forest Whitaker, Hardy leads the charge as a hardened detective who goes rogue to track down the victim of a kidnapping.
An official synopsis reads: “After a drug deal goes awry, a bruised detective must fight his way through a criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son while untangling his city’s dark web of conspiracy and corruption.”
A jaw-dropping new trailer was released this week, and movie buffs are already excited to get their teeth stuck into this heart-racing thriller.
One fan made a bold claim in the YouTube comments section: “Even if this is only half as good as The Raid, this will be better than most action movies Hollywood pumps out.”
Someone else said: “Gareth Evans is one of the most underrated action directors out there. Looking forward to this!”
And another wrote: “From the director of the raid is all I need to hear to feel really excited & pumped up.”
Havoc was getting just as much hype over on Reddit, with one user posting: “This movie looks f***ing amazing.
“A lot of people rightfully praise Gareth Evans’ action sequences, but another thing I really like about his movies that this looks like it will nail is the aesthetic.
“The locations in his movies are perfectly grimy, gritty, and cold. Love what I’m seeing in Havoc so far. Seedy night clubs, back alley streets, dirty shacks, looks awesome.”

Someone else wrote: “Looks like a damn good time. Wish it could be seen in theaters.”
And a final fan said: “The Raid movies are my favorite action movies of all time so this my most anticipated movie of the year.
“I’ve checked news for a release date for so long I’m glad it’s finally happening.”
Others couldn’t help pointing out a potentially coincidental connection to Hardy’s other new project for 2025, Paramount+’s MobLand.
“Interesting that this trailer uses the song Starbuster [by Fontaines DC], which is also the theme song for Mobland another series also starring Tom Hardy,” one commenter noted.
While someone else admitted the connection was “awkward”, although others noted the first Havoc trailer also used the track when it was released back in February, before MobLand’s premiere.
Havoc will be released Friday, 25th April on Netflix.
