Ajay Devgn and Luv Ranjan are already working together for De De Pyaar De 2. The film shooting has been completed and the actor is currently in London for his next film Son of Sardar 2. Amid this, a report comes that he will once again collaborate with Luv Ranjan for his adventure-based film. Midday has reported that it will be inspired by Indiana Jones. But note that there has been no official announcement till now.

Mid-Day quoted a source saying, “The script for the Luv Ranjan film is still in progress. It will be a big-budget production featuring Ajay Devgn as an adventurer. The filmmakers aim to create something akin to the Indiana Jones franchise. Ajay is excited about the concept, as it is an unexplored genre for him.” It further added that the film will be set in the forests of India, with Devgn on a “quest to find an ancient relic.” “The story will have historical significance and will be steeped in folklore and mythology. The film, heavy on VFX, is expected to go on floors by December 2024,” the source reveals.

The report also claimed that Devgn is excited about the project. “It is being designed with children in mind. The film will feature high-octane set pieces and stunts. Ajay will sport a rugged look, donning a leather jacket and carrying a backpack. He will possess extensive knowledge of ancient civilisations and languages,” the source shares. He is expected to begin shooting after Son of Sardar 2 and De De Pyaar De 2.

Ajay Devgn recently took to his Instagram to announce the Muhurat of the film. Helmed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film has an extensive shoot schedule in the UK, followed by India. Ajay shared a video with the caption, “The journey of #SonOfSardaar2 begins with prayers, blessings, and an amazing team.” In the video, Ajay could be seen offering prayers at a gurdwara while Mrunal Thakur was seen performing bhangra on stage.

The film will be directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and comes nearly 12 years after the original. The first film featured Ajay Devgn trying to win Sonakshi Sinha’s hand in marriage by trying to impress her older brother, played by Sanjay Dutt. However, as per reports, Sonakshi Sinha will not be a part of the sequel. A release date for the film is yet to be decided.
