For more than 20 years, the European Outdoor Film Tour has been bringing the best outdoor and adventure films to the big screens. Under the motto “Find your line,” this year there are six films on the program that couldn’t be more different in their understanding of adventure. Let yourself and your friends be inspired by the individual stories and powerful images.
Even in the age of streaming, there’s nothing like watching a film on the big screen. Honor the romance of a cozy evening watching TV in your own four walls: But following fascinating adventures together with friends and like-minded people on the big screen, getting excited and exchanging ideas over a cool drink is a completely different experience.
EOFT program 2023: These are the six films
Three ridge climbs in 45 hours in winter | Triple edge
Their first attempt to climb the three Salbit ridges in winter fails mercilessly. On the second attempt, the two alpinists and mountain guides Michi Wohlleben and Lukas Hinterberger were able to complete their mega project: within 45 hours, on February 15th and 16th, they climbed over the south, west and east ridges to the 2985 meter high Salbitschijen with its famous summit pin.
Freeriding far away from the competition circus | Shifting
Although, as second place in the Freeride World Tour 2022, he has the best chance of having a say in what happens on the tour, the French snowboard professional Camille Armand is turning his back on the competition circuit. Instead, he lives out his skills and his exceptional driving style in the remote Norwegian Lynge Alps.
By bike from Alaska to Patagonia | The Great Traverse
The two adventurers Sophie Planque and Jérémy Vaugeois have been cycling non-stop for two and a half years, cycling from Alaska to Patagonia. They cover an incredible 28743 kilometers under their own power. What touched the two of them even more than the fascinating landscapes was the encounters with the different people they met along the way.
Overland by motorcycle from Halle to New York | 972 breakdowns
For the five friends from Halle who have made it their mission to travel overland to New York on old Ural motorcycles, the film title says it all: 972 Breakdowns. What the five art students experience on their way through Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Russia turns out to be the adventure of a lifetime.
A mountain bike family throws all conventions overboard | The Nine Wheels
Emric (10), Raoul (13) and their parents Toni and Laetitia are living the dream of every mountain biker: they tour Europe’s best bike parks in their large motorhome. But there is also a shadow over the mountain bike paradise: Laetitia suffers from a progressive neurodegenerative disease. That’s why the family decided to throw all conventions overboard and live completely in the here and now.
With the paraglider to unimagined heights | Summits in the Sky
The French paraglider Antoine Girard is at home in the air and loves to go very high. Together with his team he travels to the Karakoram Mountains in Pakistan. The impressive seven and eight thousand meter peaks not only offer a unique scenery, but also the perfect terrain for a new paragliding altitude record.
