Kirron Kher should be declared the funniest mom of Bollywood already. Whether it is the movie ‘Khubsoorat’, ‘Total Siyappa’, ‘Singh Is Kinng’, or Dostana, she makes every character a hit. Out of all, Kher’s high-octane Punjabi mother’s role in Dostana remains iconic to this date. The dramatic dialogues mixed with funny banter make every scene a delight to watch. Though it’s been sixteen years since the movie was released, the song Maa Da Laadla Bigad Gaya — with its hook step — still remains a favourite among fans. In the movie, where she finally accepts her son’s gay boyfriend and tries to bless him, her dialogue ‘Jeete raho, phulo phalo, khair chodo’ still makes us crack with laughter.

Renu Arora (Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar)

Dimple Kapadia did justice to the role of a typical Indian mom who curses, beats, and throws sarcastic comments at their children, but still showers them with love. In the movie Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, all of Dimple’s dialogues screamed ‘Every desi mom ever’.
