New Delhi: Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ continues to break box office records and will be available for streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime Videos starting August 22. Despite the ongoing excitement surrounding the film, Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi has openly criticised Prabhas’s performance in the movie during a podcast with Samdish Bhatia.
While Warsi praised Amitabh Bachchan’s exceptional performance, he expressed disappointment with Prabhas, describing his portrayal as resembling a “joker.”

“I watched ‘Kalki’ and didn’t like it… Amit ji performance was so incredible. He’s mind-blowingly amazing. I can’t comprehend his talent. If we had even a fraction of his power, our lives would be set,” he said.
Regarding Prabhas, Warsi stated, “I am disappointed. Why did he look like a joker? I was expecting something like Mad Max, Mel Gibson-level performance. What have they done with his character? I just don’t understand why they make such choices.”
Touted as a marriage of Hindu epic Mahabharata and science fiction, the big-budget film is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and was released in theatres across the country on June 27.
Since its release, the film has emerged as one of the biggest films of 2024, earning over Rs 1100 crore at the worldwide box office.
