Ratan Tata death: Veteran industrialist Ratan Tata passed away on Wednesday at the age of 86. He was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Monday after a sudden drop in blood pressure and was in critical condition.

Tata’s business empire included everything from aviation and steel to food. However, one lesser-known part of his life was his short stint in film production, which didn’t turn out to be successful like his other ventures.

About Ratan Tata’s film Aetbaar

In 2004, Ratan Tata ventured into filmmaking as a co-producer of Vikram Bhatt’s romantic thriller ‘Aetbaar’. The film starred Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham, and Bipasha Basu, and was adapted from the 1996 Hollywood movie Fear. Produced under the Tata BSS banner, Aetbaar explored themes of obsession and family relationships.

The film centers on Dr. Ranveer Malhotra, portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan, a devoted father who goes to great lengths to shield his daughter, Ria (Bipasha Basu), from Aryan Trivedi (John Abraham), an obsessive lover with a troubled past. Tension mounts when Ria starts to fall for Aryan, challenging the family’s close bond. Despite its star-studded cast and gripping storyline, Aetbaar struggled at the box office.
