We’ve all grown up watching Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, right? No doubt, Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have been an impeccable team when it comes to delivering hits. Their collaborations have left us entertained since the beginning.
However, it has been more than a decade since the duo has collaborated, with their last movie being Happy New Year. Additionally, Farah choreographed some of Shah Rukh’s most popular songs for several years, and then delivered her SRK-starred directorial debut, Main Hoon Na.
Since then, the duo have worked on two other movies together, but haven’t collaborated on any project recently. Talking about their bond and movies together, Farah recently revealed that Shah Rukh Khan gifts her a car every time they work together. Here’s all about it!
Farah Khan’s revelation on SRK’s extravagant gift
Farah Khan recently revealed that her friend and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan gifts her a car after every movie they collaborate on. The film director and choreographer recently visited Archana Puran Singh’s home and enjoyed a fun, candid conversation with her, Parmeet Sethi and their sons Ayushmaan and Aryamann.
During the conversation featured in her recent YouTube vlog, Farah was asked about the most extravagant gift she has ever received from a celebrity. In response, she revealed that Shah Rukh gifts her a car after every film with her.
When Parmeet asked if she bought the house from Akshay Kumar, Archana jokingly asked, “Akshay ne gift diya tha?” Farah denied it, saying, “I wish!”
Archana then asked Farah about the most expensive gift any star has ever given her, to which Farah replied, “Haa mujhe Shah Rukh gaadiyan deta hai na har picture ke baad.”
Archana Puran Singh then joked, “Toh jaldi bana aur (movies),” to which Farah replied, “Haa, (movie) banana hai kyunki time ho gaya hai. Yeh gaadi ab mujhe nayi leni hai.”
Farah Khan reflects on her best gift
When asked what’s the best gift that her husband Shirish Kunder gave her, Farah Khan replied, “Mere 3 bachche. That is the best gift. Ab maalum padega jab college jayenge. Unki fees aayegi.” She then joked this is why she has made a YouTube channel.
Farah has shared a close friendship with SRK for over three decades, and their last collaboration was Happy New Year, released in 2014. He starred as the lead in Main Hoon Naa, Farah’s directorial debut, which was released in 2004. The film became a massive hit and fans often revisit the movie. They then reunited for Om Shanti Om in 2007 and it was a blockbuster.
