Korean actors and idols who have played a crucial part in the development of the country and contributed to propagating its culture and tradition were honoured.
Some of the names in the winner list include Cha Eun Woo, Lee Je Hoon of Taxi Drier fame, K-pop band DAY6, and Chun Woo Hee among others. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Commendation award has gone to K-pop bands DAY6, Silica Gel and JANNABI, actress Ahn Eun Jin, Cha Eun Woo, Go Min Si, comedian Yoon Sung Ho, Jung Ho Yeon and director Yoon Jung Ho.

On the other hand, the recipients of the Prime Minister’s Commendation award are Actor Lee Je Hoon, Chun Woo Hee, musician actor Choi Jae Rim, Jang Ki Ha, Kim Young Jin, Jang Jae Hyun, Kim Sung Soo and composer Kenzie.
Other categories are Eungwan Order of Cultural Merit, Presidential Commendation, Bogwan Order of Culture Merit, Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit and Okgwan Order of Cultural Merit.
