Kalki 2898 AD box office collection day 3 early reports: Prabhas’ sci-fi epic is expected to surpass Rs 100 crore collections globally for the third day in a row.
Early reports of Kalki 2898 AD box office collections for day three indicate that the sci-fi epic led by Prabhas is playing on the front foot, putting up humongous collections of over Rs 100 globally if the trends hold. Till Saturday evening, Kalki 2898 AD has clocked Rs 47 cr all India-nett–according to industry tracker Sacnilk–clearly signaling a hattrick of Rs 100 cr days at the worldwide box office.
According to producers Vyjayanthi Movies, the Nag Ashwin-directed film recorded a smashing global opening of Rs 191.5 crore on Thursday, of which Rs 95 crore came from domestic theatres. This included Hindi collections of over Rs 22 cr on day one. By the end of day two, Kalki 2898 AD had made a whopping Rs 298.5 crore globally.

On its third day, the film has recorded solid response, and should easily make it past Rs 100 cr globally. The one thing that can dent its business, however, is the crucial T20 World Cup final between India and South Africa. Depending on the match’s impact, a fair value of Kalki 2898 AD’s collection will be established. So far, the three-day all-India nett total of the film stands at above Rs 200 cr.
The film reported a dip on Friday, but that was expected as it was a working day. The film has no holiday to aid its business, but is looking to cross the Rs 500 cr mark globally by Sunday. “If Kalki 2898 AD tops Rs 500 crores in the opening weekend, it will be the sixth Indian movie after Baabubali 2, RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Pathaan, and Jawan, to achieve the feat (including extended weekend),” the Sacnilk report said.
The Telugu epic, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan, opened to good reviews. Kalki 2898 AD was the first event film to release for the Hindi audience since April’s disastrous Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
