Is Indian 2 going to clash with Sarfira and Vedaa at the box office?
Summer was a dull month for the box office. After Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in April 2024, there were hardly any big releases in May. The June calendar is also quite free with the exception of Chandu Champion. Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan have joined hands for the first time for the biopic of Murlidhar Petkar. The trailer has got a good response from the public. There were some reports that Kalki 2898 AD and Indian 2 might clash. However, nothing of that sort is happening. In fact, there is a decent window of almost 12 days between the two big South films.
But Shankar and Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 is slated to clash with Sarfira and Vedaa. Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan are the main stars of Sarfira which is the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru. The movie has been directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad who made the original one. The buzz around Sarfira on Book My Show is a good one. Vedaa is an action drama that stars John Abraham, Sharvari and Tamannaah Bhatia.
The first few glimpses of Indian 2 have generated a lot of curiosity. Akshay Kumar needs a hit at the box office while Kamal Haasan is high on the success of Vikram. He is also a part of Kalki 2898 AD as the main villain.
On July 5, Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s Auron Main Kahan Dum Tha will clash with Janhvi Kapoor’s Ulajh and Kill. Fans are left wondering what makers did not plan better or will we see one more reshuffle of dates?
