Not just her diehard fans — even Priyanka is longing for Hindi films and being back in India. During the promotions of her latest film, she told India Today, “I miss Hindi movies. I miss India so much. I am working in India this year so I am very excited about that.”
For those unversed, PeeCee is set to make her comeback in India with SS Rajamouli’s SSMB29. The big-budget project will see her share the screen with superstars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Reportedly, the film has mythological elements. Its shooting began in Odisha earlier this year. The film is expected to hit the screens in the summer of 2027.
Talking about her supporters back home, she said, “I’ve always had so much love and support from fans of Indian movies and hope that continues.”

PeeCee is also set to star in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. The film, announced in August 2021, was rumoured to have been shelved. However, the filmmaker later confirmed that it’s still on the cards.
Reportedly, the project is facing delays due to scheduling conflicts among the leading ladies. But the makers remain optimistic that it will come together when the time is right. For now, fans are just hoping that the “stars align.”
Apart from this, Priyanka was also offered Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, which is one of the biggest projects right to be ever made in India. She reportedly declined the offer to schedule issues.
