Saiyaara Movie Review
Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, attempts to rekindle the soulful intensity of his previous love stories, offering a tale of heartbreak, healing, and hope. Centered on debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film begins with Vaani being left by her fiancé and eventually crossing paths with Krish, a struggling musician. Their relationship blossoms through shared pain and dreams, but takes a tragic turn with Vaani’s health crisis, leaving audiences wondering about their fate.
Performance-wise, Ahaan Panday surprises with a raw yet compelling debut, portraying Krish with both vulnerability and fire, while Aneet Padda brings innocence and restraint to Vaani. Alam Khan adds warmth and comic relief as Kiwi, and the supporting cast, including Varun Badola and Rajesh Kumar, bring emotional grounding. Each character contributes to the emotional beats of the film, with standout moments anchored by sincere performances.
However, the direction and writing lack the depth Mohit Suri is known for. While the film boasts a moving soundtrack and striking visuals reminiscent of Aashiqui 2, the emotional build-up feels rushed and some plot points unearned. Despite flashes of brilliance, Saiyaara falls short of its promise—leaving behind a bittersweet aftertaste rather than a lasting impact.
According to early estimates, Saiyaara has earned Rs 30 crore on Sunday. After the first two days, the total collection crossed the Rs 40 crore mark.
