Actress Bhanupriya, known for films like Swarnakamalam and Chhatrapati, left cinema due to memory loss after her husband’s death. Now 58, she lives with her family and enjoys a quiet life
Actress Bhanupriya has delivered remarkable performances in films like Swarnakamalam, Rishyasringan, Seethara, Chhatrapati and many others in different languages. She became a leading actress among fans with her beauty, acting and amazing dance.
Known as the dancing sensation of the South, Bhanupriya excelled in dancing since her childhood and is a Kuchipudi dancer. She once said that her passion for dance at a young age became her greatest asset in cinema.
Now aged 58, Bhanupriya has left cinema and now lives with her mother and brother. In an interview, she opened up about her health and shared that she has been struggling with memory loss for four years after her husband’s death.
“I cannot remember some things. Sometimes I even forget my lines during shooting. I have been suffering from this problem for two years,” Bhanupriya said.
Bhanupriya, who married Adarsh Kaushal in 1998, has a daughter named Abhinaya. She separated from her husband in 2005 and her husband passed away in 2018 due to a heart attack.
Bhanupriya, who is currently away from cinema, has said that she is enjoying life staying at home, reading books and taking care of her daily chores.
It is noteworthy that Bhanupriya last played a small role in director Sandhya Raju’s romantic drama Natyam.
