The year has just begun and we already have a slew of highly anticipated releases to look forward to. January 2024 has some star-studded films including Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor’s Fighter. Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s Merry Christmas is also arriving in theatres after facing a few delays. The month at the movies is shaping up to be rather eventful.

Tauba Tera Jalwa
After making a stellar comeback in Gadar 2 alongside Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel is set to open 2024 with Tauba Tera Jalwa. The film also features Jatin Khurana, Indo-Polish actress Angela Krislinzki and more. The plot revolves around a self-obsessed real estate tycoon and a woman waiting for her fairytale romance.

Merry Christmas

After facing some delays, Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas is set to release this month. The film starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi revolves around a fateful Christmas date that goes from cute to dark very quickly. The film was shot in Hindi and Tamil with an alternative supporting cast. The Hindi version features Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak and others while the Tamil version will see Radhika Sarathkumer, Shanmugaraja and more.

Ruslaan

Directed by Karan L Bhutani, Ruslaan features Aayush Sharma alongside debutante Sushrii Mishraa, Jagapathi Babu, Vidya Malavade and more. It is touted to be an action-thriller.

Main Atal Hoon

Pankaj Tripathi looks unrecognisable in the first looks from Main Atal Hoon, an upcoming biopic based on Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s life and times. The film directed by Ravi Jadhav will chronicle the former Prime Minister’s professional and personal life.

Fighter

Fighter is one of the most anticipated big-budget films coming up this month. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor is an aerial action film. It sees Hrithik play Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, call sign – Patty, Deepika’s Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, call sign – Mini and Anil as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, call sign – Rocky. The trailer unleashes some stunning aerial action sequences.
