Brad Pitt’s Subversive Crime Movie Explodes Onto a New Streaming Platform
After decades of building a rather prestigious portfolio, it’s without a doubt that Brad Pitt has had more wins than losses over the years, thanks to his involvement in numerous critically acclaimed and commercially successful productions. Some of his works, despite not being the biggest box office hits, also went on to achieve cult classic status, ultimately developing a huge and lasting fan base. One of these gems is Fight Club, the 81% RT thriller from director David Fincher, which many may still regard as Pitt’s most popular cult film.
Labeled by The New York Times in 2009 as the “defining cult movie of our time,” Fight Club will soon become easier for fans to enjoy as it heads to a new streaming home. We’ve learned that the film will become available on Paramount+ starting October 1, 2025, where it is expected to become a streaming sensation. The gripping watch was released in U.S. theaters on October 15, 1999, and performed poorly at the box office during its initial run, earning a worldwide total of $100.9 million USD at the time; however, it later found commercial success with its home video release.
Starring alongside Pitt in Fight Club are Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter, with Meat Loaf, Jared Leto, Holt McCallany, and Zach Grenier in supporting roles. Pitt portrays Tyler Durden, a charismatic soap salesman whom Norton’s unnamed character encounters. This unnamed character struggles with insomnia and soon starts living in Tyler’s apartment when his own perfect apartment is destroyed. The duo eventually forms an underground fight club, more like a support group for men who are fed up with their mundane lives and need an outlet for their rage.
Brad Pitt Has an Exciting New Project in the Works
Lately, Pitt has been keeping busy both in front of and behind the camera. He was last seen in F1, the highest-grossing movie of his career, in which he stars opposite Damson Idris and also helped produce. Next, the award-winning actor is set to return as Cliff Booth from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in the upcoming Quentin Tarantino sequel, The Adventures of Cliff Booth. The project marks another collaboration between Pitt and David Fincher, who is directing. Furthermore, Timothy Olyphant will reprise his role as James Stacy from the 2019 movie, and will be joined by Scott Caan, Elizabeth Debicki, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Carla Gugino, Holt McCallany, and JB Tadena.
The Adventures of Cliff Booth has no release date yet, but Fight Club will soon begin streaming on Paramount+. Stay tuned to Collider for future updates.
