Chris Pratt’s new unconventional movie has scene inspired by Bruce Willis’ classic film
Chris Pratt will be featuring in an eccentric project, which is expected to come out next year.
The upcoming film titled Mercy, is set to star Pratt as a detective, who is accused of murder and is undergoing trials.
His character must convince the sophisticated AI System of his innocence while being strapped to a chair for whole 90 minutes.
While talking about his challenging role, the Avengers actor revealed that it was his choice to be physically detained while filming the movie.
During a panel session at New York Comic Con, Pratt added, “I asked them to confine me in it. So, I couldn’t, I didn’t have to pretend that I was strapped down.”
The Jurassic World actor wanted to naturally feel the character he was playing, who is strapped to a chair and is being investigated.
He explained, “There’s a certain level of claustrophobia that you just naturally feel when you’re strapped down to something, and that was helpful, in fact.”
Chris revealed that he asked the makers, “I don’t wanna get out. I want you to lock me in so I can’t get out. That would be helpful to me in giving this performance that I’m completely stuck here.”
He further disclosed that he is sitting in the chair bare feet in the whole movie. Calling it intentional, Pratt says that it is a tribute to Bruce Willis’ classic 1988 movie Die Hard, in which the actor removes his shoes to ease tension.
